This site has multiple purposes . . . all of them directed at having more hiking fun . . .
While the primary objective is to provide planning information for upcoming Traildogs hikes, it is also our goal to post details and photos for the hiking activity undertaken by any of our Traildogs members.
The site is separated into pages and, hopefully, that will make it easy to navigate around the site . . .
We have included a site "blog" . . . which is a great alternative to communicating through email . . . all ideas and comments on any subject are welcome.
If you plan to spend some time looking around the site, you might want to click here and listen to the bluegrass music that was used in the Traildogs movies of the past (see the Movies-Photo page) . . . turn up the sound and enjoy!

YES . . . the long awaited Traildogs III event has happened!
A lot fun, laughs and great moments . . . both from a hiking and a social perspective . . . so, undoubtedly there will be more Traildog events like this in the future!

The piano music for the TIII movie is played by Squeek Steele, long time performer at the Bucket of Blood Saloon in Virginia City, NV and the Guinness World Book of Records holder for "most songs performed by memory on the piano". . . Go Squeek!

Check out Weekly Hikes and Weekly Photos pages to keep up with what is happening on the Western NC and the CA Traildogs hiking scene . . . we'll post a summary of the hikes along with some photos that were taken.
Also, for some hikes we will post a CLICK HERE link to a GPX file containing the hike's track . . . once you open the GPX file, do a "Save As" to your desktop . . . then open the saved file in Google Earth and you can "walk" the track in Google Earth 3D.
